“P” Day has arrived and I am off to explore in the footsteps of St Paul. Quick check in at the airport and lunch with the farewell committee… Chris, Sarah, Mum, Anne-Marie, Tim and Steph. We gathered on the other side and played spot the fetching green harvest travel bag as the group swelled.
The plane was full but being an A380 it has quite a bit of room to stand and stretch near the doors and toilets so these areas became congregating spots. Chatted at length with John Lee who is off to Grenada to do the Camino walk. Passed the time with high class viewing like the Muppet Movie and the Iron Lady – says something about eclectic taste or lack thereof.

Hit 28 degree Singapore, thinking we had only a 3 hour layover before heading off to Athens.. but NO! Our plane had to be withdrawn from service due to technical difficulties and so they are flying a new one in from Istanbul. We are not leaving 'til 8.30am Friday 13th Aussie time. And let’s hope we do. It is now 3am Aussie time and I am heading off to find a nice piece of carpet to crash out on. Will let you know the outcome on Day 2. |
